From Left to Right….

Dawn Benton : Mrs. Benton received an AA degree from Cape Fear Community College and has served as practice manager for several medical practices, and for Dr. Puente’s Office for a decade. Mrs. Benton coordinates all activities involving the practice as well as Dr. Puente’s professional activities. She is married, has two children and two dogs.

Nadia Crossno-Rodriguez: Ms. Crossno-Rodriguez received her BA in psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2020. She is currently enrolled in the masters mental health program at NC State University. She serves in the capacity of practice administrative assistant.

Susan Gloss: Ms. Gloss received her BA in psychology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, and her Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from East Carolina University. She has worked in the office for two decades as a Psychometrician and she was the former lead Psychometrician at Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital.

Hjalmar Zambrana-Bonapart: Hjalmar M. Zambrana received his undergraduate degree in psychology, and his master’s in school psychology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. Then, he obtained his Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D) degree from Albizu University, where he currently serves as adjunct faculty. He recently published his first book chapter.

Hjalmar is currently completing a 2-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in clinical neuropsychology under the supervision of Antonio E. Puente, PhD. He is looking forward to continuing to provide neuropsychological services to the people of Wilmington, a city he has quickly and easily grown fond of. He enjoys running and visiting beaches.

Carlisle Gates: I am a senior at UNCW with expected graduation in May 2022. I am majoring in psychology and minoring in forensic science. I also am a member of UNCW’s chapter of Psi Chi, International Honor Society in Psychology. In my free time I enjoy playing cello, reading, going for walks, and listening to podcasts.
